How I get ready FAST | Video

Hello Glitterjunkies!

It's time for another video!
In this one I show you what hair and makeup I do when I have to get out of the door quickly!
Obviously you could just roll out of bed, put on some clothes and get going. But this is for those days where you do want to look quite presentable.

Click on the picture to be redirected to youtube.

With this I thought I'd give you a few extra tips that you can incorporate in your daily routine so that you can spend those extra 5 minutes in your warm and comfy bed.

1. If you know you don't have a lot of time to get ready the next day, decide the night before what makeuplook you're going to wear and lay it all out at the place where you usually do your beautifying.

2. Don't try and do crazy looks that day. Stick to what you know works for you. If you're not a master at a  winged liner, don't do a winged liner when in a hurry. That's just asking for disaster!

3. If you have naturally curly hair and don't like the look of it (like myself) style your hair the night before. I know it sounds weird, but if I straighten my hair the night before, I'll just have to touch it up the next morning.

4. Just run out of time to apply your lipstick? I always have a little mirror in my bag and I usually throw that days lipcolour in there as well. It's easy to apply your lipstick on the go, or even at your destination. Just go to the bathroom or look for a quiet little corner to finish your look.

5. Do your makeup on a day where you do have the time to apply it and then time it. So you have an idea of how long it takes you to get ready. So you know exactly when your alarm has to go off.

6. Shower at night. Seriously, it's so much easier, you just need a quick wash in the morning and it saves you sooooo much time!

These are my tips for getting ready faster on a day to day base. Because we all love an extra minute in our beds!

If you have any tips that I didn't mention in this post, please leave them down below in the comments so we can all start using them! ;)

Love always

Sophie

SOS Stress

Hello glitterjunkies!

First of all, my apologies. I haven't posted something in a while. The reason being, I'm in the middle of my finals and I have been really stressed out by it.

So I thought it would be appropriate to share with you my top tips on how to battle stress.
They may not all work for you, but you can always try some out!

Whenever I'm feeling really stressed out, the first thing I grab for are face masks. Not only is it very relaxing to just lay down for a while, but any breakouts caused by the stress may also be reduced. You could also paint your nails and turn the whole thing into a mini spa!

Another great thing to do, is play a game. For example 'candy crush' on facebook. I know, you'd think it is better to stay away from your computer but this is really great to quickly clear your head. Plus it is also just fun! Be aware of the minor addiction those games may cause though! ;)

A well known tip is take a bath, but since not everyone has a bath (cough, me, cough) a shower is a great alternative. Just use your favourite products and spend a little more time on massaging bodybutter or lotion into your skin.

If you love music a great way to reduce stress is creating a playlist full with your favourite 'slower' songs. I have one on my iPod called 'Sleep'. Whenever I am too uptight to fall asleep, this truly helps me relax.

Having a hot beverage before bed is always a great idea. I wouldn't recommend going all crazy with coffee or anything but a nice cup of tea, or chocolate milk might just do the trick.

For another tip you'll need a friend. It's drawing on eachother. It might sound strange but the feeling on your skin is really subtle and nice. You can obviously just draw on yourself, but it just doesn't have the same effect.

My final tip is one for when you're suffering from extreme stress, or when you have trouble falling asleep at night. I am aware that this isn't for everyone and some of you will find it rather weird. But please do give it a try before you judge it.

I am talking about ASMR videos. ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. It are basically videos presented to you in a soft whisper, with soft sounds in it. It can be based on a roleplay but it doesn't have to be. Any topic can be transformed into an ASMR one.

Here you have a few examples of videos that I've already enjoyed (The second video is Dutch):

I hope this helped some of you. If you use any of these tips, please let me know if it worked for you!
Also I'd love to know how you deal with stress, so let me know in the comments!

Love
