When words fail, music speaks | September 2014

Hello Glitterjunkies!

It's time for an update on what I've been listening to lately. The last time I told you about my favourite music was back in March! So here we go...

This was part of my August favourites so I have to add it here! It is Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. It's such a fun, uplifting song.

Ed Sheeran is a babe and my favourite ever. I love this song so much.

I used to be obsessed with the Jonas Brothers and I bawled when they split. So obviously Nick Jonas deserves an honorable mention. Next to that I also really like this song.

Sometimes I just have bad day. But this song just always makes me feel 'fancy' again and that's why this is a favourite.

Summer anthem right here! Even though summer is basically over, I still adore this song as it brings back so many memories.

If you ever are really frustrated or just really mad, this is your song. Seriously though it is the perfect song to scream along to. Lucy Hale nailed it with this one.

Jason Mraz makes perfect music and I can't get over it. This song is so cute and beautiful. You have to listen to it!

My main man, Troye Sivan is a genius. Not only is he one of the funniest youtubers out there, his music is insane. He's so talented it makes my head spin.

This is it, for now. If you have any songs or artists you think I should listen to, than please let me know in the comments! I love discovering new people and new music!

Love always

Sophie

My favourite youtubers | TuesdaysTip

Hello Glitterjunkies!

It's the end of the month and that means favourites time.
As my favourites video isn't edited yet, I thought I'd share some of my favourite youtubers.
So we can all enjoy some extremely talented people on youtube.

I hope you like seeing some of my favourites.

First up is Jaclyn Hill, if you like perfect makeup, this is your girl. She is amazing at tutorials and is such a sweet and lovely girl. I am absolutely obsessed with her!

I have a thing for British youtubers. My favourite makeup girl is Tanya Burr. She is slowly turning into a celebrity but she hasn't forgotten where her roots are and still films amazing looks.

Another Brit is Zoe Sugg, better known as Zoella. She is sometimes a beauty girl but she usually sticks to funny videos. With once in a while a very serious topic. She gives very good advice but is also very funny and insanely pretty!

Another makeup girl I love is Nikkie from Nikkietutorials. She is a Dutchie who films her tutorials in English. (a bit like me) So I have to like her. She does tutorials that keep you inspired and thinking outside of the box, which is always a good thing.

I think these guys will keep you busy for a while. If you'd like to see more of my favourite youtubers (I have A LOT) please let me know, so I can do this again!

I hop you're all well.

Love always

March favourites | 2014

Hello Glitterjunkies!

March 2014 is gone! Can you believe it?!
It feels like the years just go by faster and faster, it's insane!
But this means that it is time for another favourites post! :D

I have quite a lot this month, so let's get started!

Firstly, this Apocalips lip lacquer from Rimmel London. This is the one in Celestial. And it's the perfect pinky nude colour for me. I wore this a lot when I did no makeup makeup looks, but it also works amazingly with smokey eyes.

Whenever I wanted to wear a bright lip this month I wore this lipstick. This is my orange lipstick from Catrice in The Lips Are On Fire. This is such an amazing colour and if you read my last post, you'll know that this is totally on trend!

A while ago I got some Clinique minis because I never tried any of the products before. On of the products I got is this mascara. It's the High Impact mascara in the Waterproof formula. I love this mascara! It gives me the same kind of effect as the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara by Dior. Also it is waterproof but it's rather easily removed, so that is a bonus!

My eyshadow favourite from this month is this duo. I kind of rediscovered it, since I got this a few months ago. This is from a limited edition collection by Catrice and is called Beauty Bouquet. This is the perfect duo for everyday.

My Collection concealer is now offically used up, so I had to search my stash for a new one and I came across this camouflage cream by Catrice. This is amazing for covering up spots, as I have been having some this month.

I've been really into shaping my eyebrows lately. For doing that, I've been using this Eyebrow stylist by Catrice in 020 Date with Ash-ton, which is a really good colour for my brows.

With all those Clinique minis came this as well. This is the All About Eyes eyecream. I freaking love this stuff! This just really does what it promises you and I am definitely buying the full version when I run out of this. (Which won't be very soon as this is still rather full after two months of daily use)

The weather here in Belgium has been getting so lovely, that I've cracked out my body mist again. This is Tease Please by Victoria's Secret. It smells amazing and is just really light for these sunny days.

As the weather has been so lovely here lately, I have been thoroughly enjoying my shades. These are actually the first shades I have ever owned. As I wear glasses which are prescripted I never took the effort to buy sunnies. But I am so glad I finally did! My life has been so much easier. Especially when driving around! These are Ray-Bans, but I have no idea which specific model they are.

This little thing has been my saviour when it comes to bad hair days. When my hair just doesn't listen to me, I put it up in a bun using this hair dougnut and it always looks fabulous!

Last but not least I've been getting into reading again. I used to love to read when I was younger, but as I got older I just didn't find the time. But this e-reader changed that. Because it's so lightweight I can easily take this with me everywhere. I use this especially when I'm on the train to and from school as it takes about half an hour per train ride.

These are all my March favourites! I hope you liked this post!
Do let me know in the comments what you're absolute favourites are, I am extremely curious.

Love always

Sophie

February Favourites | 2014

Hello Glitterjunkies!

February has gone and that means only one thing: it's favourites time!
This month I have quite a big selection of stuff for you, so I suggest we get started!

The first item on the list, is thins amazing hairbow. I bought it this month at H&M and I love it!
for just under 4 euros, you really can't go wrong. It's a leather look bow that spices up any normal haircut.

Next up is my teasing comb. I honestly love this thing. My hair has been kinda dull lately, but with this beauty I can make it look voluminous and lively again!

If I tease my hair, I like to keep it that way through the whole day and for that I use the queen of hairsprays. The L'Oréal Paris Elnette hairspray. It's an oldie, but such a goodie. There really is no better option for hair that stays in place but doesn't feel crunchy.

For bodycare I discovered this glove in the past month. This is a scrubbing glove from The Body Shop. It makes exfoliating my body so much easier, it's insane.

With that glove I love using my Hammam Hot Scrub by Rituals. This is quite a minty smell, which I think is perfect in this colder weather. It is also brilliant to clear a stuffed nose!

Through February I have also been loving the Satsuma line from The Body Shope. The smell is just absolutely fabulous!

My favourite perfume has definitely been Amber N°53 from the Master Perfumer. It's a very affordable perfume, that smells rather sweet. This is the small size and I'm almost out, but when I do run out, I will be buying the bigger version for sure!

My favourite makeup brush has been the blush brush from Real Techniques. I love how I can use it in so many different ways and it is just extremely soft!  Definitely a brush worth buying.

For makeup, my first item is my Collection concealer. I'm pretty sure you've all heard everyone and their mother rave about this. But seriously though, this is the best concealer ever! Unfortunately I'm almost out and I can't purchase this is Belgium. (I have to go to London SOON)

Next up is this little eyeshadow palette from Catrice. It's a limited edition one and it's called CO1 Soft Thrill. I found this a few weeks ago in the sales section and I knew I had to have had. I've been using it 4 out of 7 days a week ever since. It is such a great everyday palette!

Time for a little splurge. I bought this at the end of January so I couldn't really justify putting it in my January favourites. But OMG this is amazing! It's the Météorites from Guerlain in the shade 2. I freaking LOVE this stuff! Such a luxury product, but so worth it! This makes my skin look so flawless and so awake, it's unbelievable.

The next thing is something I use religiously every single day. It's the Maybelline gel eyeliner. Ever since I heard Tanya Burr speak about this, I've been in love with it. This is the only eyeliner that doesn't smudge on me. It is crazy. Also this is really black and can be used on the waterline or to tightline your eyes as well, which is great.

I blame my love for this next item on Tati (from Glamlifeguru on youtube). This blush is the perfect everyday colour that never gets boring and goes with almost every eye look. It's called Flower Power and it is by Gosh.

Last but not least it is time for a lipstick. As you may know, I love me a bright coloured lipstick. So this lipstick from Chanel is totally me. It's number 54 Boy. I got it for my birthday last September and I have been cherishing it ever since. It is such a fun colour that goes with almost every skintone.

That is it! Those are my February favourites! I hope you liked this post and if you have any favourites please let me know in the comments, I'm always on the hunt for great new products to add to my collection!

Love always

Sophie

January Favourites | 2014

Hello Glitterjunkies!

Today I'd like to share with you my January favourites.
It's incredible how fast time goes by, as the first month of the year is already gone!
This month, I don't really have a lot of favourites, just a few things that really stood out me and made my life easier in January.

The first thing I've been absolutely obsessed with are jumpers!
I never used to wear a lot of jumpers because I was convinced they didn't compliment my figure. Lately I have found some jumpers that aren't too bad and OMG, I am in love!
Especially if they are really soft and cosy, I just want to wear them ALL the time.

This one is from C&A, I got it in the sales for about €10 and I love it to death.

My second favourite is the Dove wintercare nourishing lotion.

This is made for dry skin. It says it's a lotion, but it feels more like butter. Which makes it difficult to squeeze out of its container. But it makes my skin so soft and hydrated that I can definitely live with that.

My next favourite is a hairproduct by l'Oréal Paris. It's the Elseve Huile Extraordinary Oil.

This just makes my hair smell amazing and extrasoft. I also feel like it helps with any split ends I may have.

Another one of my favourites this month is making lists.

Especially in this cute little notebook. I found that it really helps to keep me (rather) organised. That goes for blogging and in my everyday life.

Also on the list is my Angels on Bare Skin facecleanser from Lush.

I am not going to gush all over it here, because I already did that in my evening routine post. But I will say that this is amazing at removing al the dirt from my face and leaving it feeling clean and moisturized.

Next up are my a-mazing fake uggs.

I mostly wear these inside the house, or when my feet are killing me again (my feet are very prone to blisters and all-over hurting), they cost me next to nothing but they are so comfortable and soft.

Let's move on to the more makeup-y side of things.
This past month I have been completely obsessed with a primer.

It's the Garnier skin naturals 5 sec Perfect Blur primer. This has made my life so much easier!
My makeup now lasts almost a complete day, without needing any touch ups. It's insane! Normally when I had a blemish, my concealer would be gone after like two hours. But if I use this underneath my foundation, the blemish stays hidden for at least six to seven hours. I absolutely LOVE it!

Next up is an eyeshadow by l'Oréal Paris.

It's one of the Color Infallibles. This one is in Forever Pink.
It's kind of like a pressed pigment and it applies very creamy. I love this on days where I don't have inspiration. This together with a matte dark brown in my crease, always works. With every outfit.

Next one the list is a lipproduct, again from l'Oréal Paris. They really have been stepping their game up.

It's from the Shine Caresse line. This one is in 501, Bonnie. I radomly picked this colour up a month or three ago but I never paid much attention to it until last month. This is amazing. It stays on my lips for hours and when it does start to come off, it doesn't leave that weird line at the outside of your lip. It fades quit naturally. The colour itself is this really pretty toned down orange colour.

Last on the list, but certainly not least are my baby lips.

I especially love Cherry Me, but all the others are amazing aswell. Maybelline has done an insane job on these lip balms!

Oh before I forget, I am also really into watching series right now. My favourites are How I Met Your Mother, The Carrie Diaries and Pretty Little Liars! I am completely hooked!

So that's it. Those are all my favourites for the past month!
I hope you liked reading this and if you have any favourites that you think I need to hear about, please let me know in the comments! I am dying to know!

Love always

Sophie
