Products worth repurchasing

Hello Glitterjunkies!

- Happy Father's Day! -

Some products are just so amazing, you'd like to have an eternal supply of them.
Those products you know you'll keep repurchasing for as long as they are available.
I have a few products like that, that I want to share with you. Here's a little list I put together with some. I hope this gives you some inspiration and maybe you can find some new loves. ;)

I have to talk about Elnett in this post. I've tried a lot of hairsprays but none of them beats this. I have so many backups of this, it's embarrasing. This is seriously the best thing ever. And if you can buy it in a set or on sale (which it usually is) it is not even that expensive!

My favourite powder ever, Stay Matte from Rimmel, is definitely repurchase worthy. I mean, this sets my make up without making me look cakey. It gives just a tiny amount of extra coverage, it is not expensive, you don't need a lot of product. This ticks all the boxes for me.

The next product I have to mention in this blogpost, is this 5 seconds blur cream from Garnier. I use this as my primer and Oh My God, it keeps my makeup in place the whole day! Which is insane, considering that my makeup is nearly gone after 3 hours without this. I'm repurchasing this until I can't repurchase it anymore (which will be a sad day).

I have repurchased this cuticle butter about three times already, since I discovered it about a year ago. That is how much I love this. As you can see, I'm talking about the Lemony Flutter cream by Lush. I use this on cuticles, elbows, knees and sometimes even my feet. This stuff is amazing and this little pot lasts you a very long time.

My favourite foundation ever is Match Perfection by Rimmel. This matches me perfectly, looks dewy but not like a discoball. I mean, I haven't found anything that makes my face look so flawless.
So yep, definitely buying this one again. I have already in fact, multiple times.

The blush that goes with any makeup look. It's not like I'm going to run out of this quickly, because you don't need a lot of product to get a lovely colour, but if I ever do I'm buying this again. It's flower power by Gosh cosmetics. It's a barbie pink that gives me the most natural flush. I adore this and use it almost every day.

The blackest eyeliner ever is the geleyeliner from Maybelline. This has been going strong for more than a year now and I still have more than half of the pot left. For me it is the easiest way to apply my eyeliner and the only form of eyeliner that allows me to create a wing without taking forever. So if I run out, I'm running to the store to get another one.

I need to buy another one of this. This is the long lasting lipstick by Kate Moss for Rimmel in 107. And it is my favourite red. I love this colour so much. Also, can you tell I love Rimmel?
Haha, but anyway though, you have to go swatch this. It is red, matte and it absolutely perfect.

The next product I have to mention is the I <3 stage eyeshadow base by Essence. This stuff is super cheap and beats all other eyeshadow primers in my opinion. It keeps my eyeshadows locked into place the whole day and it als keeps my eyeliner from moving around, which is great!
Seriously guys, try this out!

The last product I want to mention has stolen my mascara loving heart. This is the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl from Dior and even though there are some great drugstore mascaras out there, nothing beats this. It lenghtens like crazy, volumises my lashes and keeps a curl wonderfully. It's a shame it's so expensive because I'd buy a couple at once, so I'd never run out.

These are just a few of the products I buy again and again, just because I love them so much and I can't imagine my makeup life without them.

Let me know what products you keep repurchasing in the comments!

Love always

Drugstore haul

Hello Glitterjunkies!

I went shopping! It's not too much, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway.

The first thing on the list is actually a repurchase. It's this perfume by The Master Perfumer in N°53 Amber. I absolutely love this! It's super sweet and rather heavy scented, but I love this for spring and summer.

The next item is a nailpolish that I mostly bought because of the name, even though I really like the colour as well. It's Berry Potter and Plumbledore by Catrice. I mean, COME ON? As an extreme Potterhead, I just couldn't say no to this!

I then got this re-touch light reflecting concealer by Catrice. I got this because it's a sort of Touche éclat from YSL product and I wanted to try the extremely cheap version.

Next up is this cute lipstick from Essence. It's called Blush my lips and looks really promising!

This is a lip polish from Catrice (again). The name is Rose-Wood if she could and I just couldn"t stop thinking about Pretty Little Liars, which is kinda why I bought it.

The camera doesn't pick this colour up the way it should. In real life this looks a lot more purple. But it is an eyeshadow by Catrice in 370 Don't Lie, Lac!

Last but not least I got this eyeshadow from Gosh. The colour is 016 Aubergine. I thought this would be an amazing crease colour so I had to pick it up.

That's it! If you'd like to see anything reviewed, please let me know in the comments.

Love always

Sophie

There's something new in town | Review

Hello Glitterjunkies!

Believe it or not but last week I was roaming around the aisles of my local drugstore and I found something that amazed me by just swiftly looking at it, so naturally... I had to buy it.

These aren't nailpolishes as you may think (and as I thought at first). Oh no, these are lipsticks. Or well, liplacquers to be more precise. They are from Gosh and I have been testing them out for you in the last couple of days.

I only bought two, even though the line carries 8 different colours, just because I wanted to figure out if they were worth the money.

006 Funky lips - 003 Sweet lips

Sweet lips is a very light pink, nude-ish colour. I had a to apply multiple layers before achieving this rahter opaque effect. But it doesn't bother me that much, you just have to keep that in mind.

Funky lips has a lot more pigment than Sweet lips. I absolutely love the colour, but if you want to achieve the opaque look you have to apply at least 2 layers as well.

The lacquers are very creamy, which unfortunately means that they don't stay long on the lips.
These survive a drink, but they aren't food resistant at all. The good thing is that they fade rather naturally, so you aren't left with that weird line around your lips.

Glitter points go to:
* The packaging is really cute and cool how it looks exactly like a nailpolish
* It doesn't dry your lips out
* The price is at €8,49 really good for what you get
* It fades really naturally
* The sponge applicator is really nice

Glitter-nono's go to:
* The lasting power isn't great
* You have to apply a few layers to get an opaque colour
* The smell isn't the best

Overall I really like this product. There are a few bad points, but I can definitely look past that.
I hope you like this review and if you end up buying this product, let me know what you think!

Love always

Sophie

I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with this brand. I bought all products mentioned above with my own money unless stated otherwise.

February Favourites | 2014

Hello Glitterjunkies!

February has gone and that means only one thing: it's favourites time!
This month I have quite a big selection of stuff for you, so I suggest we get started!

The first item on the list, is thins amazing hairbow. I bought it this month at H&M and I love it!
for just under 4 euros, you really can't go wrong. It's a leather look bow that spices up any normal haircut.

Next up is my teasing comb. I honestly love this thing. My hair has been kinda dull lately, but with this beauty I can make it look voluminous and lively again!

If I tease my hair, I like to keep it that way through the whole day and for that I use the queen of hairsprays. The L'Oréal Paris Elnette hairspray. It's an oldie, but such a goodie. There really is no better option for hair that stays in place but doesn't feel crunchy.

For bodycare I discovered this glove in the past month. This is a scrubbing glove from The Body Shop. It makes exfoliating my body so much easier, it's insane.

With that glove I love using my Hammam Hot Scrub by Rituals. This is quite a minty smell, which I think is perfect in this colder weather. It is also brilliant to clear a stuffed nose!

Through February I have also been loving the Satsuma line from The Body Shope. The smell is just absolutely fabulous!

My favourite perfume has definitely been Amber N°53 from the Master Perfumer. It's a very affordable perfume, that smells rather sweet. This is the small size and I'm almost out, but when I do run out, I will be buying the bigger version for sure!

My favourite makeup brush has been the blush brush from Real Techniques. I love how I can use it in so many different ways and it is just extremely soft!  Definitely a brush worth buying.

For makeup, my first item is my Collection concealer. I'm pretty sure you've all heard everyone and their mother rave about this. But seriously though, this is the best concealer ever! Unfortunately I'm almost out and I can't purchase this is Belgium. (I have to go to London SOON)

Next up is this little eyeshadow palette from Catrice. It's a limited edition one and it's called CO1 Soft Thrill. I found this a few weeks ago in the sales section and I knew I had to have had. I've been using it 4 out of 7 days a week ever since. It is such a great everyday palette!

Time for a little splurge. I bought this at the end of January so I couldn't really justify putting it in my January favourites. But OMG this is amazing! It's the Météorites from Guerlain in the shade 2. I freaking LOVE this stuff! Such a luxury product, but so worth it! This makes my skin look so flawless and so awake, it's unbelievable.

The next thing is something I use religiously every single day. It's the Maybelline gel eyeliner. Ever since I heard Tanya Burr speak about this, I've been in love with it. This is the only eyeliner that doesn't smudge on me. It is crazy. Also this is really black and can be used on the waterline or to tightline your eyes as well, which is great.

I blame my love for this next item on Tati (from Glamlifeguru on youtube). This blush is the perfect everyday colour that never gets boring and goes with almost every eye look. It's called Flower Power and it is by Gosh.

Last but not least it is time for a lipstick. As you may know, I love me a bright coloured lipstick. So this lipstick from Chanel is totally me. It's number 54 Boy. I got it for my birthday last September and I have been cherishing it ever since. It is such a fun colour that goes with almost every skintone.

That is it! Those are my February favourites! I hope you liked this post and if you have any favourites please let me know in the comments, I'm always on the hunt for great new products to add to my collection!

Love always

Sophie
