Products worth repurchasing

Hello Glitterjunkies!

- Happy Father's Day! -

Some products are just so amazing, you'd like to have an eternal supply of them.
Those products you know you'll keep repurchasing for as long as they are available.
I have a few products like that, that I want to share with you. Here's a little list I put together with some. I hope this gives you some inspiration and maybe you can find some new loves. ;)

I have to talk about Elnett in this post. I've tried a lot of hairsprays but none of them beats this. I have so many backups of this, it's embarrasing. This is seriously the best thing ever. And if you can buy it in a set or on sale (which it usually is) it is not even that expensive!

My favourite powder ever, Stay Matte from Rimmel, is definitely repurchase worthy. I mean, this sets my make up without making me look cakey. It gives just a tiny amount of extra coverage, it is not expensive, you don't need a lot of product. This ticks all the boxes for me.

The next product I have to mention in this blogpost, is this 5 seconds blur cream from Garnier. I use this as my primer and Oh My God, it keeps my makeup in place the whole day! Which is insane, considering that my makeup is nearly gone after 3 hours without this. I'm repurchasing this until I can't repurchase it anymore (which will be a sad day).

I have repurchased this cuticle butter about three times already, since I discovered it about a year ago. That is how much I love this. As you can see, I'm talking about the Lemony Flutter cream by Lush. I use this on cuticles, elbows, knees and sometimes even my feet. This stuff is amazing and this little pot lasts you a very long time.

My favourite foundation ever is Match Perfection by Rimmel. This matches me perfectly, looks dewy but not like a discoball. I mean, I haven't found anything that makes my face look so flawless.
So yep, definitely buying this one again. I have already in fact, multiple times.

The blush that goes with any makeup look. It's not like I'm going to run out of this quickly, because you don't need a lot of product to get a lovely colour, but if I ever do I'm buying this again. It's flower power by Gosh cosmetics. It's a barbie pink that gives me the most natural flush. I adore this and use it almost every day.

The blackest eyeliner ever is the geleyeliner from Maybelline. This has been going strong for more than a year now and I still have more than half of the pot left. For me it is the easiest way to apply my eyeliner and the only form of eyeliner that allows me to create a wing without taking forever. So if I run out, I'm running to the store to get another one.

I need to buy another one of this. This is the long lasting lipstick by Kate Moss for Rimmel in 107. And it is my favourite red. I love this colour so much. Also, can you tell I love Rimmel?
Haha, but anyway though, you have to go swatch this. It is red, matte and it absolutely perfect.

The next product I have to mention is the I <3 stage eyeshadow base by Essence. This stuff is super cheap and beats all other eyeshadow primers in my opinion. It keeps my eyeshadows locked into place the whole day and it als keeps my eyeliner from moving around, which is great!
Seriously guys, try this out!

The last product I want to mention has stolen my mascara loving heart. This is the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl from Dior and even though there are some great drugstore mascaras out there, nothing beats this. It lenghtens like crazy, volumises my lashes and keeps a curl wonderfully. It's a shame it's so expensive because I'd buy a couple at once, so I'd never run out.

These are just a few of the products I buy again and again, just because I love them so much and I can't imagine my makeup life without them.

Let me know what products you keep repurchasing in the comments!

Love always

Sophie

Rotterdam | Haul

Hello Glitterjunkies!

I promised you a haul from Rotterdam, so here it is!
I do have a little surprise though.. I made this haul into a VIDEO!

I'm really excited about this and I know that the quality isn't the best, but I really wanted to do this.
I don't have fancy cameras and so I filmed this with my webcam.
(the camera I take my pictures with doesn't have the option to film)
Please let me know what you think :)
If you like this, I might think about investing in a fancy camera!

I hope you enjoy this!

January Favourites | 2014

Hello Glitterjunkies!

Today I'd like to share with you my January favourites.
It's incredible how fast time goes by, as the first month of the year is already gone!
This month, I don't really have a lot of favourites, just a few things that really stood out me and made my life easier in January.

The first thing I've been absolutely obsessed with are jumpers!
I never used to wear a lot of jumpers because I was convinced they didn't compliment my figure. Lately I have found some jumpers that aren't too bad and OMG, I am in love!
Especially if they are really soft and cosy, I just want to wear them ALL the time.

This one is from C&A, I got it in the sales for about €10 and I love it to death.

My second favourite is the Dove wintercare nourishing lotion.

This is made for dry skin. It says it's a lotion, but it feels more like butter. Which makes it difficult to squeeze out of its container. But it makes my skin so soft and hydrated that I can definitely live with that.

My next favourite is a hairproduct by l'Oréal Paris. It's the Elseve Huile Extraordinary Oil.

This just makes my hair smell amazing and extrasoft. I also feel like it helps with any split ends I may have.

Another one of my favourites this month is making lists.

Especially in this cute little notebook. I found that it really helps to keep me (rather) organised. That goes for blogging and in my everyday life.

Also on the list is my Angels on Bare Skin facecleanser from Lush.

I am not going to gush all over it here, because I already did that in my evening routine post. But I will say that this is amazing at removing al the dirt from my face and leaving it feeling clean and moisturized.

Next up are my a-mazing fake uggs.

I mostly wear these inside the house, or when my feet are killing me again (my feet are very prone to blisters and all-over hurting), they cost me next to nothing but they are so comfortable and soft.

Let's move on to the more makeup-y side of things.
This past month I have been completely obsessed with a primer.

It's the Garnier skin naturals 5 sec Perfect Blur primer. This has made my life so much easier!
My makeup now lasts almost a complete day, without needing any touch ups. It's insane! Normally when I had a blemish, my concealer would be gone after like two hours. But if I use this underneath my foundation, the blemish stays hidden for at least six to seven hours. I absolutely LOVE it!

Next up is an eyeshadow by l'Oréal Paris.

It's one of the Color Infallibles. This one is in Forever Pink.
It's kind of like a pressed pigment and it applies very creamy. I love this on days where I don't have inspiration. This together with a matte dark brown in my crease, always works. With every outfit.

Next one the list is a lipproduct, again from l'Oréal Paris. They really have been stepping their game up.

It's from the Shine Caresse line. This one is in 501, Bonnie. I radomly picked this colour up a month or three ago but I never paid much attention to it until last month. This is amazing. It stays on my lips for hours and when it does start to come off, it doesn't leave that weird line at the outside of your lip. It fades quit naturally. The colour itself is this really pretty toned down orange colour.

Last on the list, but certainly not least are my baby lips.

I especially love Cherry Me, but all the others are amazing aswell. Maybelline has done an insane job on these lip balms!

Oh before I forget, I am also really into watching series right now. My favourites are How I Met Your Mother, The Carrie Diaries and Pretty Little Liars! I am completely hooked!

So that's it. Those are all my favourites for the past month!
I hope you liked reading this and if you have any favourites that you think I need to hear about, please let me know in the comments! I am dying to know!

Love always

Sophie

Lush Lemony Flutter | Review

Hello Glitterjunkies!

Today I'd like to share my thoughts with you on a product that is loved by many...

Lemony Flutter by Lush!
This is my first Lush product I've ever bought and I've been using it for some time now.

It is supposed to be a cuticle butter. But you can literally use it on every dry spot you have on your body.

Personally, I love the smell. It smells like lemons (as the name says), very citrus-y. :D
It is a very heavy smell at first, but fot those who don't like the smell there's hope!
It doesn't linger very long after you've applied it!

The texture is (unfortunately) very butter-like, which I wouldn't mind if it wasn't so darn greasy!
This is the reason why I only apply this on my cuticles, elbows and knees at night, right before I go to bed. Since those are my personal 'dry spots'.

But does it work?
YES! It works wonderfully! If you can put aside the fact that you can't touch anything after you've applied it, you'll love it! It has been working miracles on my elbows especially. You have to consistent though. Skip one night and you'll have to start all over again. But I can live with that.

The little pot you can see at the beginning of this post cost me €10.95
Not cheap, but a little goes a long way. So in the end it is worth it.
Lush is available online and in stores around the world.

My personal conclusion: I love it, perfect for those extra dry spots. I wouldn't recommend using it as a full bodymoisturizer though, because it feels like actual butter on the skin.

Love
Sophie
